Protected: Seed Funding Giveaway: Plant a Seed, Watch it Grow!
What is seed funding? The way we see it, our members ”plant” their seed money and watch it grow, raising funds to support a cause that is close to their heart.
For #GiveSomethingAwayDay, we sent 1,000 of these adorable seed packets to 1,000 lucky members. Why? Because we love how the seeds so beautifully represent the seed funding available for members participating in an Action Team.
What is Give Something Away Day?
#GiveSomethingAwayDay is a social media holiday that falls on July 15th, encouraging people to give freely to others without expecting anything in return. This can include buying someone a meal, donating money or items to a charity, or giving someone flowers.
What are Action Teams?
Action Teams are groups of volunteers who organize fundraising initiatives that are important to their families or communities. The fundraisers can be done virtually or in person, and seed funding (value: $250) is available once a year to Serenia Life members.
What is seed funding?
Eligible members receive $150 in seed money to get their fundraising event off the ground. Post event, Serenia Life also donates $100 to the charity supported by the fundraiser.

Why did we send seeds to our members?
We wanted to pay it forward on #GiveSomethingAwayDay, gifting our members with something they can grow and make use of. We also thought it was a lovely way to remind members of the Action Team benefit available to them, and a beautiful representation of how the seed funding provided can grow into something much bigger.
