If you’ve been a member* of Serenia Life for more than 6 months, you can apply for reimbursement of up to $50 when you choose to complete an accredited** Canadian CPR or First Aid certification or re-certification training course. This benefit*** is available once every three years.

The CPR/First Aid Benefit provides a payment of up to $50 to members who have completed an accredited CPR or First Aid certification or recertification training course.

This benefit gives members the opportunity to gain lifesaving skills by subsidizing part of the cost of the course.

A course is considered accredited if it has an overseeing governance body, such as WSIB, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Labour, etc. Typically, these courses meet one or more workplace requirements, and always have an expiry date listed on the certificate.

The amount received is up to a maximum of $50, dependent on the invoice amount.

Once every 3 years.

A cheque will be mailed to them.

The member can expect to receive their cheque in the mail up to 30 days after applying.

Members should apply within 12 months of course completion.

The eligibility requirements for this benefit include:

  1. must be a member for 6 months and have an active policy to qualify
  2. the course must be accredited
